The extensive programme of activities in European law covers research, events and training on a wide variety of European law topics, broadly understood.
Our current work includes:
- Assessing Rule of Law monitoring and promotion within the EU and its Member States including through the project Reconciling Europe with its Citizens through Democracy and the Rule of Law (H2020 project);
- Brexit related research and events clarifying the current state of negotiations on the future relationship, the implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement, and related UK and EU legal issues;
- Advancing access to justice and the ROL in CoE member states through measuring the performance of justice systems;
- EU, international and regional trade agreements.
We conduct, and coordinate research, make recommendations, generate practical insights, and provide a forum for practitioners, academics and government officials, to analyse and debate current issues in European law.
