New projects announced to address COVID-19 challenges

UK-Japanese social science and humanities projects to address the challenges presented by the global pandemic.

The British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) is delighted to be working on two new projects focused on supporting global efforts to manage the effects of the pandemic.

COVID-19 and the law: protection and recovery for vulnerable groups 

An interdisciplinary study on medical research and development: rescuing intellectual property rights in pandemic emergencies from the "tragedy of the anticommons" 

Support for the projects has been provided by The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC ), the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)  and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
