BIICL and CARICOM announce new project
CARICOM Project to Harmonize Company and Insolvency Laws
BIICL is delighted to be working with Dr Nicole Pierce, Deputy Director of the Institute of Small and Micro States on a new research project aiming to provide assistance to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member states (Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago) to harmonize company, partnership and insolvency laws and instruments for the mutual recognition of companies and partnerships.
The consultancy was awarded to the British Institute of International and Comparative Law ( BIICL) and is funded under the Eleventh European Development Fund (European Commission) relating to Strengthening for CARICOM Integration and Cooperation Process.
The project will run until July 2023
