This one-day conference follows three successful workshops on 27 October 2016, 27 April 2017 and 7 November 2017 on Brexit, human rights and devolution.

Brexit poses challenges for the protection of rights in the devolved parts of the UK with many rights no longer underpinned by EU obligations. While the more general consequences of Brexit for rights protection are well rehearsed, the additional complexities posed by devolution are under-appreciated. In addition, crucial questions around the interpretation and enforcement of rights have not received much attention in the broader Brexit debate. This roundtable wants to inform and stimulate debate on these questions. It is aimed at policy makers, policy shapers and all those working in a rights environment.

This is the third and final roundtable organised in 2018 by the Brexit and Rights Engagement Network (BREN).

Supported by a British Academy Rising Star Engagement Award.
