Brexit raises fundamental questions and creates legal uncertainty in cross-border commercial relations. At the same time, third States like Switzerland and Norway have a role model function for the future relations between the UK and the European Union. It is of common interest to avoid frictions in economic relations between the UK and its neighbouring States, with whose economies it is closely intertwined and to continue close cooperation, including in civil justice matters. To achieve this goal is an important challenge for lawyers and policy makers across Europe. This conference is intended as a forum for exchange and debate on questions that are relevant from a business point of view. It covers the areas of Trade and Services, Company Law, Cross-border Insolvencies and Dispute Resolution and reunites practitioners and academics from the UK, Switzerland, Norway and various EU Member States.
