Event Details

The DMA entered into force on 1 November 2022 and will start applying on 2 May 2023. The European Commission's public consultation on the draft Implementation Regulation closed on 9 January 2023, so the publication of the Implementing Regulation is imminent.

The effectiveness of the DMA will depend on its implementation and enforcement in which the Implementing Regulation will play an important role.

The main question to be discussed at this roundtable is whether the Implementing Regulation strikes the right balance between 
(i) due process and the rights of defence of gatekeepers and 
(ii) the principles of good administration in enforcement.
