This event is two-fold:
- The event will begin with an address by Sir David Edward, former Judge of the European Court of Justice, to give his view on the outcome of the Scottish referendum, with particular reference to its constitutional implications for the United Kingdom and placing this in the wider perspective of membership of the European Union.
- This occasion will also celebrate the launch of the 8th edition of European Union Law, by Matthew Humphreys and Margot Horspool, with new co-authors Michael Wells-Greco and Wisam Abboud. Sir David Edward wrote the foreword to the first and the sixth (Lisbon) edition of the book.
We hope that this event will appeal to all those with an interest in European Union law and the position of the United Kingdom in the Union in the light of the outcome of the Scottish referendum.
The event will be followed by a drinks reception.
