ELI UK Hub

The ELI UK Hub is hosted by The City Law School and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL).

The UK Hub is co-chaired by Professor Hugh Beale, Dame Sara Cockerill, Dr Ana Keglevic-Steffek, Professor Eva Lein, and Professor Christian Twigg-Flesner.

The Advisory Committee of the UK Hub consists of Lord Thomas, Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord Mance, Paul Craig, John Sorabji, Diana Wallis, Lord Tyre, Paul Matthews, Takis Tridimas, Sophie Turenne, John North, Professor David Townend, Ivano Alogna, and Louise Gullifer.

Upon joining ELI, one becomes a member of the Hub in their country of residence or seat, provided no objections are raised.

On 22 April 2026, the ELI UK Hub will host a special event to mark the 15th anniversary of the European Law Institute (ELI). The event will highlight its mission, global strategy, and future ambitions, while strengthening engagement with the judiciary and legal profession in the UK. Find out more here.
