Business and Human Rights Due Diligence in Supply Chains
The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights were unanimously adopted by the UN Human Rights Council in 2011, and require all business enterprises to undertake human rights due diligence. Because of the limited information available about how companies are going about to conduct human rights due diligence BIICL and the global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright are working together to research this important area.
Human Rights Due Diligence in Supply Chains
BIICL and Norton Rose Fulbright have recently published 'Making sense of managing human rights issues in supply chains'. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to the management of human rights in supply chains, discusses the components of human rights due diligence in supply chains and sets out observations of current practice and best practice recommendations.
