Dr Zhirou Li
Biography
Zhirou Li earned her PhD in Law, MA (Regulation and Compliance) and LLM (Law and Economics) from Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London. She holds Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science And Risk Management from University of International Business and Economics in China.
Zhirou has experience in leading and working on research projects with academics and professionals from China, the UK and the EU. Her research interests are in the area of banking law, financial regulation and compliance, and law & economics. Zhirou's doctoral research focuses on cross-border cooperation of bank resolution.
Before joining BIICL, Zhirou taught Law and Economics at Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London. Zhirou is a member of the Institute for Global Law, Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London. She is the co-chair of Centre for Commercial Law Studies China Chapter.
