Ola Ugwu

Biography

Ola Ugwu joined the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law at BIICL in December 2022 following her summer internship. Ola is the 2022 Human Rights Lawyers Association Fellow and Head of Public and Youth Engagement Programme at the Bingham Centre, leading the Centre's Citizenship and the Rule of Law school programme across the UK.

Prior to joining the Bingham Centre, Ola held senior management positions in Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion and Business Development at various multinationals including Procter and Gamble. Ola is passionate about access to justice for disadvantaged groups and has worked and volunteered with a range of NGOs including Law for Life: Foundation for Public Legal Education.

Ola holds a MA Law degree, an MSc Resources Management degree from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Agricultural Economics (First Class Honours).

Ola's research interests cover access to justice, the Rule of Law, public legal education, sustainable development and international, European and UK human rights law.
