BIICL Advisory council member takes his seat in the House of Lords

BIICL congratulates David Anderson QC as he takes his seat in the House of Lords today.

David Anderson QC will become Lord Anderson of Ipswich KBE QC, a cross-bench peer. The decision was made on the advice of the independent House of Lords Appointment Commission.

David Anderson, a barrister with Brick Court Chambers, is an expert in EU-related law and human rights who, as Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation, influenced law and practice in the fields of counter-terrorism and national security.

David is a member of the BIICL Advisory Council and a former trustee
