BIICL Congratulates Appointees to the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal

BIICL today congratulated one of its advisers and a trustee, on new judicial appointments.

Lady Justice Arden DBE will join the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom as a Justice on 1 October 2018.

Lady Arden has been an adviser to the Board of Trustees at BIICL since 2005 and was previously a member of our Council of Management and Executive Committee. She gave the annual Grotius Lecture in 2016 on the topic of 'Water for All? Developing a Human Right to Water in National and International Law'.

It was also announced today that Mrs Justice Simler has been appointed as a Lady Justice of Appeal.

Mrs Justice Simler has been a trustee of BIICL since 2017.
