First phase of the Arthur Watts Appeal complete

BIICL is delighted to announce the successful completion of the first phase of the Appeal for the Sir Arthur Watts Fellowship in Public International Law

Over £500,000 has now been raised towards embedding the Arthur Watts Fellowship at the heart of the Institute's activity. We are extremely grateful to numerous generous supporters for making it possible to reach this stage. The Institute's particular gratitude goes to Allan Myers AO QC of Melbourne whose pledge of a second very substantial donation to the Appeal has carried it over the initial target.

Phase Two of the Appeal has now begun, with the aim of establishing the Arthur Watts Fellowship in perpetuity.

Public international law is of major concern and consequence to communities of all sizes and their future prosperity. Much work still needs to be done to encourage greater engagement with and observance of the treaties, customary practices and institutions that inform and guide the many levels of international relationships. We continue to seek donations and grants in order to increase the scope and scale of our work in this area.
