BIICL Adviser nominated for election as Judge of the ICJ

Professor James Crawford SC has been nominated by the Australian National Group for election as a Judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Professor Crawford is a long-standing member of the Institute's Public International Law Advisory Panel and has been an active contributor to the Institute's work for many years, including advising on research projects and providing the keynote address at 'Holding States to account - the practical impact of the International Law Commission's articles on State Responsibility' in 2011.

Professor Crawford's nomination will be for elections due to take place in the United Nations in late 2014.
