Professor Alan Boyle
BIICL is deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Alan Boyle. Beyond his remarkable scholarship, he ardently supported the Institute in its governance, projects, and publications.
As BIICL Advisory Council Member, Distinguished Honorary Fellow, and ICLQ General Editor (1998-2007), his legacy to the Institute is immense. The academic community will deeply feel his absence, but his contributions to international law will endure.
To celebrate Alan's many articles published in the International and Comparative Law Quarterly spanning the last four decades, Cambridge University Press has gathered them into a special collection, 'Remembering Alan Boyle', which will be open access for 2023.
