In memory of John Merrett

We were very saddened to hear of the death of John Merrett. 

After a long and successful career with Shell International as a senior in-house counsel, he became focussed on international arbitration, in particular as a representative for the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in the UK.

John was a long-time associate and keen supporter of BIICL. He was a member of the Institute's Council of Management from 2000 and later part of its Board of Trustees, providing invaluable insights and expertise from his background in industry and work in the field of arbitration.

He will be sorely missed but warmly remembered by the many friends he made at BIICL. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.
