Nigerian Toolbox Event

On 2 May 2024 Dr Uzuazo Etemire of the University of Port Harcourt convened an event on corporate climate litigation in Nigeria.
Anthony Wenton, BIICL Research Fellow in Public International Law and Toolbox project team member, gave an overview of the Global Toolbox on Corporate Climate Litigation. Dr Etemire then give a brief summary of the Nigeria report on corporate climate litigation and his findings. He then introduced the speakers:
- Dr Ayodele Morocco-Clark, Associate Professor of Law at Nile University, Nigeria
- Dr Eghosa Ekhator, Senior lecture in Law at the University of Derby, UK, and member of the project's International Expert Group
- Dr Irekpitan Okukpon, Lecturer in Law at the University of Bradford, UK
Following the speakers' presentations there was a short Q&A session and open discussion.
