At a moment when access to justice is at the forefront of concerns in the UK, the pattern of products liability litigation is strikingly different in other European countries, where much more litigation occurs. The objective of this event is to try to explain why. Bringing together an array of experts from around Europe, we will examine the incidence of products cases in Continental Europe, and the accompanying access to justice issues (funding of claims, costs issues, civil procedure, organisation of the bar).
