Event Details

What is this event about?

Experts will review the legal and economic framework for the analysis of 'object' offences under competition law, examine where the object/effect distinction should be drawn with respect to horizontal agreements, and how information sharing should be assessed in particular. Following a discussion of the case law in Glaxo, T-Mobile and BIDS the following questions will be addressed:

What types of information sharing should be considered as clearly 'Object' infringements?

What types of information sharing are unlikely to fall within Article 101 or, if they do, should be treated as 'Effect' infringements?

What types of horizontal co-operation should be considered to be object infringements?

A new discussion paper on the issues by the OFT will be introduced.
