Open Roundtable of the Investment Treaty Forum âGlobal Financial Crisis: Implications for Investme
Event Details
What is this seminar about?
This seminar of the Institute's Investment Treaty Forum will look at the unfolding global financial crisis from an investment arbitration perspective. Will the crisis generate the wave of cases similar to the one triggered by the events in Argentina? Is arbitration an appropriate forum at all? Do the government measures breach investment treaty obligations? How do you value damages in a global economic downturn?
The roundtable mode of the seminar will allow for a lively and creative exchange of ideas.
The seminar will be followed by a book launch and reception:
Damages in International Investment Law by Sergey Ripinsky with Kevin Williams
