Settlements and Alternative Mechanisms in Collective Redress

Date: 12th February 2013

Time: Not specified

Venue: Not available

Event Details

This seminar examines the topic of Collective Settlements, a mechanism which is of growing importance in resolving multi-party disputes. Distinguished speakers will examine national developments in Europe and further afield, as well the important practical private international law dimension, including the recognition and enforcement of Collective Settlements. Lessons will also be drawn from comparative and public international law perspectives.

Event update: In January the Department for Business Innovation & Skills released the government response to a consultation regarding options for reform on Private Actions in Competition Law. Nicholas Blaney, Department for Business Innovation and Skills, will present and discuss this response. The documents are available to download here and here.
