What is this event about?
This event discusses recent case law of the US and the Canadian Supreme Courts. The US Supreme Court decisions J. McIntyre Machinery Ltd. v. Nicastro, Goodyear Dunlop Tires Operations S.A. v. Brown as well as the Canadian case Club Resorts Ltd. v. Van Breda clarify the conditions under which North-American courts can assume jurisdiction over foreign businesses. The decisions are important for litigation practitioners and those doing business overseas. They will be presented, discussed and commented upon from a US, UK and EU perspective.
