What is this event about:
This seminar will discuss the outcome of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP15), which was held from 7 to 18 December 2009 in Copenhagen. The Copenhagen summit was to provide a forum in which governments were to negotiate key commitments to climate change, including the text of a new treaty to replace the Kyoto Protocol, which will expire in 2012.
Our speakers will discuss the lead-up to the Copenhagen summit, the outcome of the conference and the next steps.
