Fool Me Twice: Competition Policy in AI and the Lessons of Search

Please join us for a roundtable discussion followed by a drinks reception where we will be examining critical trends shaping incumbents' AI-stack integration. The discussion will be chaired by Simon Chisolm, CRA with introductory remarks from Dr Liza Lovdahl Gormsen. 

A panel of fantastic speakers will discuss how competition law and policy in the UK and around the world should assess the evolving digital platforms, vertical integration issues, and what (if anything) national regulators can and should do in response. 

The UK's Competition and Markets Authority has recently imposed its first conduct requirements on Google Search, which require it to give greater control to publishers over the use of their content. We'll be discussing whether this is a significant outcome in itself or merely a necessary first step towards something better, particularly in the context of Google's continuing integration of AI products into Search.
