Event Details
Join us on 13 November for a special event marking the launch of Beyond Restitution, a book that shares the compelling stories of cultural objects housed in Europe and returned to countries in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. This unique publication offers previously unheard insights into past return processes, the various modalities followed, and the unexpected outcomes that have arisen. By doing so, it hopes to provide valuable insights for the ongoing restitution debate, as well as possible lessons for future returns. During the event, the authors will present some of their case studies, including the fascinating journey of church bells from Chile to Wales and back again.
