This in-person only event will explore recent legal developments in treaty and contract arbitrations involving State-owned entities (SOEs), focusing on key topics such as the legal personality of SOEs, including sovereign wealth funds and central banks, state responsibility, and the implications for arbitration. It will also delve into procedural issues faced in these cases. Additionally, the panel will address complex matters like sovereign immunity and its impact on arbitral jurisdiction, as well as strategies for enforcing arbitral awards against State-owned entities in various legal systems.
