The CMA'S New Consumer Regime: Making it Work

Date: 1 May 2025

Time: 15.00 - 17.00 UK time

Venue: BIICL, Charles Clore House, 17 Russell Sq, London WC1B 5JP

Event Details

Consumer enforcement has been seen as a bit of a neglected field by many in the competition field; important but lacking in any real teeth or clear enforcement overlap with competition law. That looks all set to change with the coming into force of a new consumer regime. The Competition Law Forum (CLF) is  fortunate to be able to invite Emma Cochrane, recently appointed as Interim Executive Director of Consumer Protection, to give CLF Members and guests a detailed briefing on how the regime will work and how it will interact with competition enforcement.

Chair:

Phil Evans, Co-director Competition Law Forum, BIICL

Speakers

Emma Cochrane, Interim Executive Director, Consumer Protection, Competition and Markets Authority
