Competition Enforcement after Brexit: Agreements, Unilateral Conduct and State Aid

Date: 25 January 2021

Time: 16:00-17:00 (UK time)

Venue: Online

Event Details

There are major transitional issues around Brexit, especially concerning cases that will be under investigation when the UK leaves the EU and situations where pre-Brexit conduct is discovered post-Brexit, to name but a few. These considerations are especially important as regards cartel activity, and unilateral conduct enforcement. Furthermore, state aid enforcement will pose challenges as well, for both the EU and the UK. Finally, the scope and focus of policy in both UK and EU will influence the approach towards enforcement in areas such as digital markets and many others.

This is our second panel on competition enforcement post Brexit and the Panel will discuss the enforcement issues that arise as a result of Brexit in unilateral conduct and state aid enforcement as well as enforcement against anticompetitive agreements and will provide an overview of the competition enforcement relationship between UK and EU post Brexit.
