Venue: Armourers Hall, 81 Coleman St, London EC2R 5BJ

The annual Grotius dinner is held each year following the Grotius lecture and is a chance for attendees at the lecture to network with others whilst enjoying a delicious three course dinner. The event is hosted by BIICL director, Professor Spyros Maniatis, and after dinner he will present the award for supporter of the year 2019.

This year's dinner will be held in the historic surroundings of the Armourers Hall. The current hall stands on the original site of the 'Dragon and five Shoppes'. The Guild of St George of the Armourers was instituted by the City of London in 1322. Now known as the Worshipful Company of Armourers and Brasiers (workers in Brass and Copper), it has occupied the site from 1346. The medieval hall was enlarged in 1795 before being rebuilt in 1840. The lantern or dome of the livery hall was added in 1872.
