23rd November 2012

The Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law is pleased to host an event, together with the Italian Council of State, to explore the proposal before the EU Parliament to codify good administrative practice within EU institutions (EU (2012/2024(INI)). This meeting will be the first held on this very important subject.

The speakers will include Professor Luigi Berlinguer, Member of The EP, Professor of History of Law, Rapporteur on the Recommendation, Mario Chiti, Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Florence and Adviser to the Italian Council of State, Paul Craig, Professor of English Law at the University of Oxford, Dr Jeff King, Senior Lecturer in Law at UCL, and Professor Cora Hoexter (University of Witwatersrand - South Africa's leading administrative lawyer who was involved in the drafting of the South African Promotion of Administrative Justice Act 2000). Lord Justice Sedley will chair the meeting, which will be followed by a short reception.

The seminar programme is available to download here.
