In May 2012, the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) will take place in Rio de Janeiro, aiming to: secure renewed political commitment to sustainable development; to assess progress towards internationally agreed goals on sustainable development and to address new and emerging challenges. http://www.earthsummit2012.org

You are cordially invited to an event organised by the Government Legal Service Environment Group, the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and the UK Environmental Law Association to discuss the achievements of the 1992 summit, what has happened since and the prospects for 2012.
