This is the second event in a series of lectures and seminars to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the adoption of the four Geneva Conventions of 1949. Ambassador Baker will discuss the interaction of the state of Israel with the Geneva Conventions, including such interesting issues as Israel's ratification of the 1949 Geneva Conventions; Israel's view of the applicability of the Fourth Geneva Convention to the Occupied Territories; the policy of the Israeli Defence Force toward the Geneva Conventions; and Israel's concerns regarding its emblem the Red Shield of David.
1.5 CPD hours may be claimed by both solicitors and barristers through attendance at this event.
