As Professor Jaap Winter states in his foreword to this exciting new contribution, it "vigorously and passionately" forces us to rethink fundamental issues in EU treaty law and in our regulation of companies. Or as put by Professor Takis Tridimas in his foreword: "This is a fresh, stimulating and valuable discussion ... which will make an important contribution to European corporate law discourse". You are welcome to download and read the first chapter here http://ssrn.com/abstract=1356542

The book launch will be held as a drinks reception, 5.30-7.00 pm on Tuesday 16 June, at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, 17 Russell Square, London, directly following the conference and workshop on "Government and Services of General Interests in a Global World (http://ials.sas.ac.uk/events/docs/Programme_for_Government&Services-15.pdf ).

Professor Mads Andenæs, former director of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and the Director of the IALS Centre for Corporate and Financial Law, will give a brief prepared comment after a short introduction by the author herself, Dr. Beate jåfjell from the Faculty of Law in Oslo.
