11th December 2007
At the request of the European Council in June 2007, the IGC in October 2007 drew up a new 'Reform Treaty' to "enable the EU to face the challenges of the 21st century and realise its true potential". The final text of the Treaty was approved on 18-19 October and will be signed by the Member States on 13 December 2007.
This Seminar aims to highlight and discuss the various issues arising from the text of the Treaty, with analysis of its provisions and effects, at a time when it features prominently on the European agenda. The Seminar will be followed by a full day conference on the subject on 29th February 2008.
