An inaugural event convened by the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and the British Institute for International and Comparative Law (BIICL)

BIICL Director, Prof Spyros Maniatis, will chair the event and the discussion will be moderated by Prof Rosa Lastra and Prof Malik Dahlan.

Tom Fearnley, Investment Director of the Norwegian SWF will talk about Norwegian investment strategy and the SWF landscape and long term considerations in management and investment decisions.

Nathalie Lichtenstein, former General Counsel of the Beijing-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will talk about the role of development banks in particular in Asia.

Prof Lastra and Prof Dahlan will guide the Q&A discussion focusing in particular on the need to develop global standards in the field beyond the Santiago principles.
