This private Competition Law Forum event will focus on competition law and financial Services. Part of the discussion will be on the regulation of payment systems by the new PSR. The tension between the promotion of competition, the protection of customer/service user interests, and innovation will be considered and the role of a sector regulator in balancing these three objectives.

The Competition Law Forum is a centre of excellence for European competition and antitrust policy and law at BIICL. It provides a forum in which the practical application of competition policy is considered by lawyers, economists, senior business managers, public servants, public affairs professionals, consumer bodies and other specialist practitioners.
