Event Details

This event is part of the winter programme of evening seminars on topical European law subjects, including fundamental rights and constitutional law. This Seminar will be focusing on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in view of it becoming a binding part of the proposed "Reform Treaty". Discussion will pertain mainly to the modified content of the Charter, including the provision included at Poland's insistence that the Charter cannot affect national governments' power to legislate in the sphere of "public morality [and] family law", and the implications of elevating this document to binding treaty law.

The course is CPD accredited by both The Bar and the SRA.

The event will be followed by a reception for all those attending.
