Event Details

The Trans-Atlantic Antitrust Dialogue is now a fixture in the competition law world. Now in its eighth year, it brings together heads of agencies, senior officials and practitioners, to discuss the most pressing issues in the world of antitrust. This year we have keynote speeches from Philip Collins, Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading, and from Philip Lowe, Director General of DG-Competition. This event provides important insights into recent developments, analytical approaches and future enforcement activity, including: international criminal enforcement, the financial services sector, approaches to dominant firm pricing, and settlements. Our gala dinner offers an opportunity for delegates and their partners to mingle with the conference speakers in the spectacular Drapers' Hall. Our event closes with the Agencies Roundtable, where top officials are quizzed on the main issues they - and business - are facing today. The Trans-Atlantic Antitrust Dialogue should appeal to senior practitioners, in-house counsel, officials and academics, and we welcome your active participation.

Topics:

  • Criminal issues - extradition; proceeds of crime; Marine Hoses case; international cooperation
  • Settlements - civil; different policy approaches; innovative and pan European settlements
  • In the competition law spotlight: financial services - dealing with sector enquiries; mergers; antitrust
  • Exclusionary pricing in Art.82/Chapter II cases
  • Agencies Roundtable
